An educational program within the scope of Earthquake Week is arranged by SUBU Earthquake Studies, Practice and Research Center. ITU faculty members Prof. Dr. Yasin Fahjan and Prof. Dr. Alper İlki attend the program gathering earthquake actors of the city.

On the grounds of Earthquake Week, March 1–7, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBU) Earthquake Studies, Practice and Research Center (DAMER) arranges a program which is published on Youtube channel of SUBU and online platforms. In the program, ITU faculty member Prof. Dr. Yasin Fahjad makes a presentation about ‘Seismic Hazard and Risk Analysis’ and ITU faculty member Prof. Dr. Alper İlki makes a presentation about ‘Earthquake Safety and Strengthening at Reinforced Concrete Buildings’. At the end of the program in which the DAMER manager Assist. Dr. Osman Kırtel is the moderator, questions asked by participants are answered by the experts. Academicians from departments of Civil Engineering and Geophysics Engineering at SUBU and Sakarya University, many technical staffs from Sakarya Provincial Directorate of AFAD, Sakarya Metropolitan and Sub-Provincial Municipality, and Sakarya Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization, and many under-graduate and postgraduate students attend the program.
